John Birks « Dizzy » Gillespie, né à Cheraw en Caroline du Sud le 21 octobre 1917, mort le 6 janvier 1993 àEnglewood, New Jersey, est un trompettiste, compositeur et chef d'orchestre de jazz américain.

Robby le robot (Robby the robot) est un robot de science-fiction  apparu dans le film Planète interdite en 1956.

En expédition sur Altaïr IV comme on l'apprend dans Planète interdite, le D^r Morbius a construit Robby, un robot aux capacités prodigieuses, grâce aux bribes qu'il a pu déchiffrer de la science des Krells, une civilisation ayant atteint un très haut degré de développement avant de disparaître.
